A LEGO rubber band or belt, 1.6 mm round or square in section, stretched round two wraps: each wrap's radius is what it goes round (2.4 a Technic pin or axle, 2.7 a half bush's groove), and the band is as long as at rest until stretched further. Side by side, a bow lifts both strands out of the loop along a bump of three tangent arcs; in line, two shafts on one axis, the strands run beside them as far out as the bow, as a band hooked over two pin ends and draped over a model.
