LEGO's single bevel gear, a true 45° bevel at module 1: the pitch circle N/2 across the heel N/2 from the apex where a pair's axles cross, tips 1 above it and roots 1.2 below on a 45° back cone, every tooth tapering to that apex, 2.8 mm deep, behind a 9.6 mm collar 1.2 mm proud of the back, on a Technic axle cross. 12 teeth is 6589, 13.4 mm across; 20 is 32198, 21.4 mm across with its back dished round the collar. Two of one count at right angles, back faces N/2 + 2 from the crossing and half a tooth apart, mesh tooth in gap to turn a drive round a corner.
