LEGO's flat Technic rotors and cam read off LDraw, each turning on an axle through its centre: a plate rotor of two or three blades a plate thick, each blade one stud wide with smooth round ends and two studs on top, hollow underneath like a 1 x 2 plate so it also sits on studs; or the cam, a half-beam-thick egg-shaped plate with three axle holes run together across its wide end and one more in its narrow end. The sides of the cam's face are left flat where LDraw sinks them.
