The coil spring round the 6.5L Technic shock absorber's piston rod, 6 mm across its coils: it stands in the cylinder's counterbore and on the rod's base, round the collar that holds it. Each spring LEGO made is a coil: its wire and how its turns are wound, the tight ones closed up and the open ones sharing what is left of the length. Its length follows the shock absorber, 17.6 mm drawn out and 9.6 pushed home.
