Empire State Building (LEGO 21002)

Description

LEGO Architecture set 21002, the Empire State Building in New York, built in ReDo from LEGO System parts by their part numbers: 77 pieces, each one the real part in its real colour, studs clicked into the pieces above as the set is built.

## Where it comes from

Each piece is placed where the LDraw community's model of the set puts it: *21002 - Empire State Building* by Orion Pobursky [OrionP], from LDraw's Official Model Repository, redistributable under CCAL 2.0 (CC BY 2.0). The parts are ReDo's own parametric LEGO parts, not LEGO's CAD.

## What is different from the box

- The nine old 1 × 2 jumper plates (3794a) are the current jumper, 15573, which has the same outside.
- The parts leave out what does not change how they fit: the groove along a tile's bottom edge, the ridges inside a brick's walls.

## Try it

The mast stands on two Technic bricks 1 × 1, with a 1 × 2 brick fixed to them by a pin on its side and another centred on the top one's open stud. Take the tower apart from the top, select any piece to see its part number, or change its colour.
