A LEGO Technic cross block read off LDraw: a row of Ø7.2 cells a module apart, each bored for an axle or a counterbored pin across the row, or for one, two or three pins up through it, a pin across the row standing a friction pin out of either face or one, or bent into an L of two such rows, with friction pins standing out of its corner and ends or a pin across each arm, so the holes cross at right angles; each cell is squared where it meets the next. The split blocks carry their axle through two lugs at the ends of a pair of pins, or two axles through legs either side of a pin; one block leaves an I-beam where a middle cell would be, and one runs a Ø7.2 tube five modules long from its axle cell, bored round and keyed for an axle at its far end.
