A LEGO plate with a front corner cut away in a straight line, or both front corners: a side wedge when the cut runs the whole length, a cut corner when it takes a corner off a square. A stud sits wherever one clears the cut by 3.2 mm, which is LEGO's own rule, and a tube wherever one fits inside the walls.
