Cylindrical batteries by their names: AAA, AA, C, D, the CR123A, and the 16340, 14500, 18650, 21700 and 26650 lithium cells. The alkaline sizes, the CR123A and the 16340 have a button top, the other lithium cells a flat one. Each is the parametric Cylindrical Battery at the largest diameter and length its datasheet allows, so a holder or pocket sized to it fits any battery of that size. Its sleeve can be recoloured, and both ends are terminals a hookup wire solders to.
