Spur Gear

ReDo spur gear on a 1.25 module, with straight-sided full-depth teeth rather than an involute profile: 16 of them is 22.5 mm across the tips and meshes with another 16 at 20 mm centres. Tooth counts are the seven that mesh on the 10 mm grid. The bore runs through for an M3 screw — plain, countersunk on either face or both — or is tapped, or D-flatted for a gearmotor shaft. An optional hub, 7.5 mm long or a short 4 mm, carries a setscrew, on the bores that would otherwise spin on their shaft. Bevel makes it a bevel gear of the same teeth: they run in to a point on the axis, trimmed on that side only, their tips rounded into the radius of a disk that they run straight into and that holds the setscrew. Meshes with names the other gear's tooth count, its own by default, and cuts the cone for it, so the pair meshes at right angles with their tips together and turns at their teeth's ratio: an 8 cut for a 16 turns twice for each turn of the 16. Its length and its back's distance from that point are on 2.5 mm steps: an 8-tooth one is 7.5 mm long with its back 10 mm out, so a pair sits flush against walls 10 mm from where their axes cross.
